Electricians you can actually trust.
Fifteen years working across Manchester, Lancashire and West Yorkshire. Here's what that actually gets you, including the bits that don't suit everyone.
NICEIC Approved Contractor and Domestic Installer
Both schemes, reassessed annually. Your certificate is registered with NICEIC, so you can check it at niceic.com without having to ask us for anything.
One socket or a full commercial fit-out
Domestic, commercial and industrial, plus alarm installation and maintenance. That's the full scope our insurance is written for.
Part P compliant, always
All domestic electrical work is notified to building control, as required by law. The notification goes through us — you don't apply for anything or pay the council separately.
£2m public liability, £300k professional indemnity
Underwritten by Allianz through NICEIC Insurance Services. We'll email the certificate before we start if you want it on file — landlords and letting agents usually do.
Honest, upfront pricing
We quote clearly and stick to it. If we open a wall and find something nobody could have seen from the outside, we stop and re-quote before carrying on, rather than adding it to the bill at the end.
We're closed Fridays, and we're not a 24-hour callout.
We're open Monday to Thursday and both weekend days. If something is actually on fire, ring 999. For a power cut or a damaged supply cable outside the property, ring 105 for the network operator.
We'll pick up everything else when we're open.

Frequently asked questions
Straight answers to the questions we get asked most.
EICR cost
It depends on the size of the property and number of circuits, so we always give a free quote first. As a guide, a typical 2-3 bed home is usually quicker and cheaper than a large HMO or commercial unit. Call us with your property details and we'll give you an accurate price — no obligation.
Full rewire versus repair
Not always. Signs you might need a rewire include flickering lights, frequent trips, an old fuse box (not a modern consumer unit), or a property that hasn't been rewired in 25+ years. But plenty of issues are isolated faults we can fix without touching the rest of the wiring. We'll inspect first and give you an honest recommendation — we don't push work you don't need.
NICEIC registration
Yes — we hold both NICEIC Approved Contractor and NICEIC Domestic Installer certifications. You can verify this directly at niceic.com by searching Moonlight Electrics Ltd. This means our work meets the official UK industry standard and is independently assessed.
EV charger installation
Yes, for homes and workplaces, compatible with all major EV brands. Installation usually takes a few hours depending on your consumer unit and where you want the charger positioned. Call for a free quote.
